When an NDA applies
Either party can request a signed NDA before any confidential material is shared — flag this when starting a project via Start a Project, or it can be raised at scoping.
What’s treated as confidential
Project briefs, reference material, unreleased designs, business and pricing details shared privately, and any material explicitly marked confidential.
Mutual obligations
Both the studio and any specialist engaged on a project (see Creator Agreement) are expected to keep confidential material private, use it only for the purposes of the engagement, and not disclose it to third parties without consent.
Duration
A confidentiality obligation typically continues for a defined period after project completion, specified in the signed NDA for that engagement — not assumed here to be indefinite or of any specific length without a signed document.
What’s excluded
Information that’s already public, independently developed without reference to the confidential material, or required to be disclosed by law is generally excluded from confidentiality obligations — standard drafting to confirm in the signed document.
Requesting an NDA
Mention it in the project brief form, or email the studio directly, before sharing sensitive material.
