Intellectual Property & Licensing

How ownership and usage rights work for work produced by VESARA — set precisely at scoping for each engagement; this page is the general framework.

Ownership before full payment

Work product remains VESARA’s property until the agreed payment for that deliverable is received in full, consistent with standard creative-industry practice.

Ownership after full payment

Once payment is complete, ownership/usage rights transfer per the scope agreed at the start of the engagement — this can mean full ownership transfer, a usage license, or something in between, and is documented per project rather than assumed.

What’s actually delivered

Deliverables (final renders only, versus source project files, versus engine-ready exports) are specified at scoping — owning the final render does not automatically include the underlying working files unless agreed.

Studio portfolio rights

Unless a client requests otherwise (and this is honored, including under NDA), VESARA retains the right to display completed work in its own portfolio and case studies.

Third-party & licensed assets

Where a project uses licensed stock assets, plugins, or third-party 3D resources, those retain their own original license terms and are not owned outright by either VESARA or the client — flagged per project where relevant.

Asset licensing between the studio and its network

As described in How We Work, VESARA may acquire, license or trade 3D assets and creative resources with independent specialists in its network. This is separate from client project ownership and does not affect a client’s rights to their own delivered work.
