Creator / Freelancer Agreement

The general framework a signed, project-specific Creator Agreement is built from, for independent specialists engaged through the VESARA network.

Engagement basis

Specialists are engaged as independent contractors on a per-project basis, not as employees of VESARA — specific engagement terms are confirmed per project.

Scope of work

Each assignment comes with its own defined scope, deliverables and deadline, agreed before work starts.

Payment terms

Rate and payment schedule are agreed per project before work starts — see Payment & Billing for the general framework.

Confidentiality

Project material shared before public release is confidential — see NDA & Confidentiality.

IP & delivered work

Rights to work delivered on a specific project are set out in that project’s agreement — generally assigned or licensed to VESARA (and, in turn, the client) per the terms of that engagement; see IP & Licensing.

Portfolio rights

What a specialist may show in their own portfolio afterward — full piece, excerpt, or nothing until public release — is agreed per project, particularly where NDA terms apply.

Non-circumvention

Standard practice is that a specialist introduced to a client through VESARA continues to be engaged through VESARA for related follow-on work, rather than circumventing the studio directly — the specific clause and its enforceability should be confirmed in the signed agreement.

Termination

Either party may end an engagement per the terms set in that project’s signed agreement.
